Privacy policy

In short

Iðunn has no accounts and no server holding your data. What you log stays on your iPhone or iPad and in Apple Health, which you control.

No health data is stored in iCloud or used for advertising.

What data the app processes

Personal details you enter (date of birth, sex, height, weight, activity level) and your goals.

Health and lifestyle data: meals and nutrients, water, blood glucose, weight and body measurements, medications and supplements, workouts, sleep, blood pressure, strength tests, the stress questionnaire, blood test values, posture analyses.

From Apple Health, if you allow it: steps, calories, heart rate, workouts, sleep, VO₂max, blood pressure and the other measurements listed in the access request.

Where it stays

On the device, in the app's store protected by iOS encryption, and in Apple Health for the data types Health supports. Your device backup, if enabled, includes them encrypted, as for any app.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device: no server sends notifications.

AI analysis

Only when you use it and after your consent, Iðunn sends the reduced photo (meal, lab report or posture) or the text you write, with the necessary context (age, sex, height, weight, goal), to the Iðunn service on Cloudflare, which forwards it to Claude, Anthropic's AI model.

No name, email, device identifiers or Apple Health data beyond what's listed are sent. The service keeps no photos or answers; it only keeps a daily request counter that doesn't identify you.

Anthropic handles requests under its commercial API terms, which exclude training models on this data; requests may be kept for a limited time for safety and abuse prevention.

Photos aren't saved on the device: after the analysis only the text of the result is kept.

Your choices and rights

You can export all your data (JSON or CSV) and delete it at any time from Profile → Data and privacy.

You can withdraw consent to AI analysis in the same place, and access to Apple Health from the Health app → Sharing → Apps.

You have the rights granted by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection) and can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). Since your data stays on your device, you exercise them directly in the app.

Age and use

Iðunn is for people aged 18 and over.

Iðunn is a wellness app: it is not a medical device, does not diagnose and does not replace your doctor's advice.
